Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the whatIhave mobile app (“whatIhave”, “we”, “us”, or “the app”). By creating an account or using whatIhave, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The service
whatIhave is a decluttering companion. It helps you keep an inventory of belongings, decide what to keep or let go, manage a wishlist, run short declutter sessions, track gentle progress, optionally participate in a member community feed, and chat with Hana, our AI companion.
We may improve, change, or discontinue features over time. We will try to keep core decluttering tools available, but we do not guarantee that every feature will remain unchanged forever.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use whatIhave.
You create an account with an email and password. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Tell us through in-app feedback or whatihaveapp@gmail.com if you believe someone else is using your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your profile display name and avatar appropriate for a calm, family-friendly community.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create in whatIhave — including inventory entries, wishlist items, notes, photos you upload, Hana chats, feedback, and community posts or comments.
You grant us a limited license to host, store, display, and process that content only as needed to run the app (for example syncing your inventory, showing your feed posts to other members, or sending prompts to AI providers when you use Hana or photo helpers).
You are responsible for what you upload. Do not add content you do not have the right to use, or that is illegal, harmful, or infringes someone else’s rights.
4. Community feed rules
The Feed is a member space for declutter tips, wins, stuck moments, and supportive conversation. When you post or comment, other signed-in members can see your content along with your display name and avatar.
You agree not to:
- Harass, bully, threaten, or demean others
- Post spam, scams, or unrelated advertising
- Share illegal content, or content that is sexually explicit, graphic, or hateful
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
- Attempt to scrape, spam, or abuse the community features
We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these rules. Official Guide posts from whatIhave are editorial content we publish for members.
5. AI features (Hana and photo helpers)
Hana and Premium photo helpers (such as Scan a space or photo autofill) use third-party AI services. Outputs can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation.
AI suggestions are for inspiration and convenience only. They are not professional legal, financial, medical, mental-health, or organizing advice. You decide what to keep, sell, donate, or discard.
Do not submit prompts or photos that contain highly sensitive personal data you would not want processed by our AI providers.
6. Free plan and Premium
whatIhave offers a free plan with limits (for example a cap on active inventory items and a daily limit on Hana messages). Premium unlocks additional features such as unlimited inventory and Hana chat, Scan a space, session challenges, Space roulette, the 30-day let-go habit, detailed progress insights, and photo autofill. Exact benefits may change; the paywall and Settings → Premium & billing describe what is available when you purchase.
Subscriptions and lifetime unlocks are sold through the Apple App Store and managed with RevenueCat. Payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn them off in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can restore purchases in Settings → Premium & billing using the same Apple ID.
7. Acceptable use
You agree to use whatIhave only for lawful personal decluttering and related community participation. You must not:
- Attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the app or our backends
- Bypass free-plan limits, Premium checks, or security controls
- Access another user’s private inventory, chats, or account data
- Use automated bots against the service without our permission
- Use the app to harm others or violate applicable law
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these rules were broken.
8. Intellectual property
whatIhave, Hana, our branding, official Guide content, and the app’s design and code are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of the app — only a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it as allowed here.
You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from our official content or software except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
9. Disclaimers
whatIhave is provided “as is” and “as available.” Decluttering decisions, selling, donating, and discarding belongings are your responsibility. We do not guarantee specific outcomes (for example a calmer home, sale prices, or mental-health results).
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI features may produce inaccurate results.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, whatIhave and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or belongings arising from your use of the app — including decisions you make after using Hana or other features.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Premium in the 12 months before the claim or (b) zero if you only used the free plan — except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Ending your use
You may stop using whatIhave at any time. You may permanently delete your account in Settings → Account. After deletion, your access ends and associated account data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue whatIhave entirely, we will try to give reasonable notice when practical.
12. Privacy
How we collect and use personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. By using whatIhave you also agree to that policy.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the product or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and delete your account.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent through Settings → Help & feedback → Send feedback, or by emailing whatihaveapp@gmail.com. We read submissions and will respond when a reply is needed.
These Terms are provided for clarity about how whatIhave works. They are not a substitute for legal advice tailored to your situation.
